Music is as integral to the work of John Waters as high hairdos and gratuitous puke scenes. The multidisciplinary artist even put out a couple of now-out-of-print compilations: 2007's A Date With John Waters and A John Waters Christmas from 2010. For our Winter Exhibitions Preview on February 1, DJ, dancer, and Wex patron services staffer Dorian Ham (aka DJ Citizen Dorian S) spun a music mix that pulled from Waters first disc and many of his film soundtracks, and that stayed true to Waters's longtime love of classic soul and R&B. He's recreated it online so you can take it with you. If you'd like to hear more of Dorian's playlists, including the latest edition of his epic annual Valentine's Day mixtape, check out his Soundcloud page.
