Andy Warhol's The Chelsea Girls is a legendary work of underground cinema, and for years it's been unavailable to view. On the eve of the double-screen masterpiece coming to the Wex as part of the series The Chelsea Girls Exploded, I had a brief chat with Wex curator-at-large Bill Horrigan about his personal experience with the work, how the real thing compares to the legend and why the work needs to be experienced in a theatrical setting.
