Cartoonist Dav Pilkey draws a character from his Captain Underpants book series on the stage of Mershon Auditorium during the 2020 Cartoon Crossroads Columbus

Last fall's visit from Dav Pilkey during Cartoon Crossroads Columbus was without a doubt one of the most joyous Wex moments in recent history. Hundreds of kids filled the house in Mershon Auditorium, unable to contain their excitement over seeing the creator of Captain Underpants. 

Parents, you and your kids can have some of that joy at home with a new series from the Library of Congress. Every Friday morning, the LOC offers a new video of Pilkey reading or offering short drawing lessons. Right now, Pilkey fans can hear him read from Dog Man Unleashed and watch a tutorial for how to draw his character Big Jim.
