Jean-Pierre Melville at 100

One of the great French directors, Jean-Pierre Melville is best known for such sharply conceived crime thrillers as Bob le flambeur (1956), Le samouraï (1967), and Le cercle rouge (1970), all of which have screened at the Wex. To mark his 100th birthday, we’re presenting two of his best films outside of the crime genre in 35mm.
