Vanishing Point Opening Celebration

wex grid image fill

Be among the first to see Vanishing Point! Members and special guests are invited to celebrate the exhibition's opening at this party with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Before the celebration, join us for a roundtable discussion with Vanishing Point artists at the Wexner Center before the opening festivities. Vanishing Point explores the allure and melancholy of public spaces we pass through every day. These "everywhere and nowhere" places include airport and subway terminals, corporate high-rises, shopping malls, and government buildings, as well as hotels, gambling casinos, and other megaplexes that can appear at once seductively appealing and unsettlingly sterile. The artists of Vanishing Point reveal such sites' atmospheric qualities and invite us to immerse ourselves in environments that are at once dazzling and mundane.

Before the Opening Celebration, you can hear several artists in the exhibition offer their thoughts on their work and the exhibition's themes in the Everywhere and Nowhere Artists' Roundtable at 4:30 pm in the Film/Video Theater at the Wexner Center. See the related event link at left for more about the roundtable.
