Spend your Capital Day with the Wexner Center for the Arts and Jazz Arts Group and embrace the power of the blues. We’ll learn about the blues as a vehicle for cultural and personal expression as we experience both live musical performances and the Wexner Center’s Blues for Smoke exhibition. Drawing inspiration from these sources and our own personal stories, we’ll learn strategies for creating written work in the literary blues form that can be performed by our “house band” at the end of our session. Come listen, look, write, and (if you’re brave enough) perform with us, and leave with a range of classroom ideas that will help your students do the same. Lunch will be included.

This workshop is full. To be added to the wait list, please call (614) 292-6493 or email edweb@wexarts.org
