wex grid image fill

Presented in honor of the 50th anniversary of Inherit the Wind, Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee's classic dramatization of the 1925 Scopes Trial, this symposium explores the play's still relevant articulation of the debate on Darwinism, creationism, and intelligent design.

Presented by Ohio State's Department of Theatre and Michael E. Moritz College of Law. Cosponsored by the Wexner Center. Nena Couch, curator of the Lawrence and Lee Theatre Research Institute, moderates the symposium. Speakers are Larry Garvin, Douglas Whaley (both Moritz College of Law), Alan Woods (Department of Theatre) and Tanya Erzen (Department of Comparative Studies). See the Department of Theatre's production of Inherit the Wind May 11ñ21 on campus at Thurber Theatre.
