Italian architect Pippo Ciorra discusses his work and ideas in one of the Knowlton School of Architecture's spring quarter lectures. A reception follows the talk. Among Ciorra's works and projects are the EcomusÈe de la Casamance in Senegal, the renovation of the Nuovo Sacher cinema in Rome, the internal decoration and entranceway of the Corderie dell'Arsenale for the Biennale Architettura in 1991, and the new site (still under construction) of the Departments of Molecular Biology and Comparative Anatomy of the University of Camerino. He took part in the Architecture Biennials in 1982 and in 1991, and in the Triennial in 1995.

Ciorra has taught architectural composition at the Faculty of Architecture of Ascoli Piceno since 1995. Since 1981 he has written for Il Manifesto and its culture supplements, as well as for architecture magazines both in Italy and abroad. His numerous publications include volumes on Ludovico Quaroni (1989) and Peter Eisenman (1993); Young Italian Architects (1998), with Mario Campi; Nuova architettura italiana (2000), with M. D'Annuntiis; and La metropoli dopo (2002), with G. Mastrigli.
