Italian architect Mirko Zardini, the curator of exhibitions at the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal, discusses his work and ideas in one of the Knowlton School of Architecture's spring quarter lectures. Zardini received his "laurea" in architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia after collaborating with Giancarlo De Carlo. His architecture practice in association with Lukas Meyer has studios in Lugano and Milan.

He has served on the editorial staffs of the journals Casabella (1983-88) and Lotus International (1988-1999) and has taught in Genoa, Ferrara, Milan, Venice, Barcelona, Zurich, and Lausanne, as well as at Syracuse University, SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, the University of Miami, and Harvard. He has published Multiplicity (1995), Paesaggi Ibridi (1996, 2000), The Dense-City (1999), Back from the Burbs (2000), and Ann hernd Perkekte Peripherie (2001).
