Mari Eastman

Mari Eastman works primarily in drawing and painting, but in recent shows she has expanded her two-dimensional work into installations that include sculpture, apparel, music, and an informal, ever-changing arrangement of her paintings, source material, and related items.

Her subjects can range from bejeweled horses and roving tigers to doe-eyed girls and super-cool gallery openings. The Los AngelesÒbased artist has exhibited widely, with solo and group shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Copenhagen, and London. She is also cofounder and associate editor of Cakewalk Magazine, a journal of contemporary art.
