Judith Schaechter

Philadelphia-based artist Judith Schaechter graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design Glass Program in 1983. She has exhibited widely—from Los Angeles to Växjö, Sweden—and has received many awards, including the Guggenheim Fellowship, two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships in Crafts, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, and the Joan Mitchell Award. Her work is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, the Hermitage, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Corning Museum of Glass, and Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, among others. In 2013, Schaechter was inducted to the American Craft Council College of Fellows.
