In our Double Take series, Ohio State faculty from two different fields offer their perspectives on a Wexner Center exhibition. Join us as Lúcia Costigan (Department of Spanish and Portuguese) and Jesus Lara (Knowlton School of Architecture) delve into the rich array of influences present in our current exhibition, Cruzamentos: Contemporary Art in Brazil.

Professor of Luso-Brazilian and Latin American Studies, Costigan is an expert in colonial and contemporary Brazilian literatures and cultures and is the resident director of Ohio State’s Global May study abroad program in Brazil. She also participated in the advisory counsel that helped shape the Wexner Center’s Via Brasil initiative. Professor of City and Regional Planning with a focus on Latino urbanism, Lara is the coeditor of Remaking Metropolis: Global Challenges of the Urban Landscape.
