Curator Claire Wilcox of London's Victoria and Albert Museum talks about the creative potential of fashion exhibitions, including the acclaimed shows Radical Fashion and Fashion in Motion she's organized for the V&A. To Claire Wilcox fashion exhibitions have the creative potential to immerse the viewer in a realm of "appearance" and explore the "emotions" evoked by fashion. A curator in the Department of Textiles and Dress at the Victoria &: Albert Museum in London, she organized the critically acclaimed exhibitions Radical Fashion, featuring world-renowned contemporary designers, and Fashion in Motion, featuring fashion walks through the V&A galleries.

Following the talk, Wilcox engages in conversation and discussion with Charles Kleibacker, emeritus designer-in-residence at Ohio StateÌs Department of Consumer and Textile Sciences and founder of the department's Historic Costume and Textiles Collection. Kleibacher has organized fashion exhibitions for the Columbus Museum of Art, the Riffe Gallery, the Wexner Center, and other venues.
