Art & Environment is your chance to learn more about the intersections of art and environmental protection at The Ohio State University. As a student in this program, you’ll come to the Wexner Center on Wednesday afternoons to explore contemporary art and see how artists, scientists, and activists are working together to protect our natural environment. You’ll get to meet and interview contemporary artists involved in Wexner Center projects and take trips to environmental research and service sites around Columbus and further afield. Students also have the opportunity to exhibit their final artwork at the Wexner Center in January.

Art & Environment is open to high school juniors and seniors in central Ohio. The course is free to those admitted and comes with transportation assistance and free books and supplies. High school course credit is arranged with individual school systems and students are advised to apply for their district’s Flex Credit program. The course meets on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30–4 PM, August 22, 2012–January 2, 2013.
