"Virtuosic...hypnotic...the energy of the street is harnessed."--New York Times on Jonathan Kane

This tour from the Table of the Elements record label brings together vanguard musician and filmmaker Tony Conrad, influential guitarist/composer Rhys Chatham, and hard-hitting drummer Jonathan Kane of Swans fame.

Table of the Elements is devoted to preserving and advancing the legacy of important mavericks of American avant-garde music and art rock. Kyle Gann of the New York Times calls them "fearless purveyors of the wildest stuff around."

For this concert, Conrad, who played a key role at the nexus of La Monte Young's Dream Syndicate and the Velvet Underground, performs a set of his trademark minimalist violin solos. Rhys Chatham, whose symphonic guitar works paved the way for such bands as Sonic Youth, cranks up the volume with his nine-piece ensemble. Jonathan Kane, of no wave behemoth Swans, then mines the root drone of the blues for maximum impact.
