“A singer-songwriter who combines folk instrumentation with punk rock intensity, penning songs that start with a twang and end with a bang….Saintseneca has already found a distinctive voice.”—Time Out Chicago

Rising Columbus-based indie-folk band Saintseneca are stirring even more national interest this spring as they release their second album, Dark Arc, on the ANTI- label (home to Wilco, Tom Waits, and Neko Case). Produced by Bright Eyes guitarist Mike Mogis, the new record finds Saintseneca stretching out from their base of acoustic textures—the dulcimers and banjos that lend Appalachian undertones to songwriter/band leader Zac Little’s introspective lyrics—to now embrace electric instruments and synths for more hard-hitting fare. We are pleased that Saintseneca want to celebrate the release of Dark Arc with their loyal and growing local following in our intimate Performance Space. The lush textures of Way Yes and the artful folk-rock of Old Hundred round out this evening showcasing Columbus’s robust indie scene.
