"Kid Koala is a scratching hero...he plays with language like no other DJ."--Rolling Stone Montreal-based turntablist extraordinaire, artist, author, and storyteller Kid Koala--a.k.a. Eric San--appears with an array of fellow travelers for a multidimensional alternative cabaret of music, films, comedy, and storytelling that he refers to as his "monster project" and "the big one."

Kid Koala and his friends DJ P-Love and DJ Jester will be the three members of this evening's turntable band, performing material from San's new album Some of My Best Friends Are DJs as well as live turntable versions of previous recordings including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the soundtrack to Nufonia Must Fall. Their performance will be punctuated by sound effects and animated shorts by film director Monkmus.
