Just Announced!

"The last great band of the century"--NME

These avant-rock heroes bring their triumphant collective sound to the Wexner Center Performance Space.

Montreal's nine-piece collective, godspeed you black emperor!, performs epic, electric elegies. Their sweeping sound is buoyed by shimmering masses of strings and guitars that arc over intricate layers of percussion and tape loops. Their most recent CD, lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven!, demonstrates the poetic, droning power of their all-instrumental music, which is often accompanied in concert by films that underscore the majestic desolation conveyed by their stormy musical crescendos.
