Discover the smartly crafted sound of young jazz pianist Ethan Iverson and his trio, The Bad Plus.

Although Iverson's day job as musical director for Mark Morris Dance Group covers wide musical territory, his first love is jazz, and he's now receiving his due for his bright original compositions and strong distinctive playing.

Featuring bassist Reid Anderson and wild card drummer David King (you have to see him play to believe it), Bad Plus is also gaining notice for its unexpected selection of cool covers. Taking on songs by Nirvana, ABBA, and others, these musicians update pop tunes as legit jazz standards for today while bringing a sense of big fun to the proceedings.
