Black Dice bring their charged electronic sound to the Wexner Center's Performance Space. Known for legendary live shows and the landmark song "Cone Toaster" (New York Times' 2003 Single of the Year), the brash young band is joined by eccentric neo-folkies Animal Collective.

Black Dice's charged electronic sound has shifted from provocative, aggressive assaults to entrancing ambient artrock experiments, as on their recent recordings for leading label DFA. The band, originally from Providence, Rhode Island, bring an intense, brash approach to their live performances, where their penchant for inspired noise holds sway.

Cult faves Animal Collective—idiosyncratic neo-folkies from Brooklyn—make an ideal pairing for the show. Sung Tongs, their recent CD, sparks comparisons to the Incredible String Band and Skip Spence. Columbus's Alive lauded it as "stunning, uplifting and thoroughly enigmatic...undeniably the best album released so far this year."
