Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band with A.A. Bondy and Deep Sea Diver

Black Box on Mershon Stage

"In many ways, Outer South feels almost like a coming of age for Oberst."—Drowned in Sound

This show offers a rare chance to catch Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band in an intimate setting, so don't delay in getting your tickets for one of the hottest shows of our summer lineup.

Singer/songwriter Conor Oberst has found a refreshing new path with new band mates who take their name from the remote Mexican valley where they rehearsed and recorded his first self-titled album for the Merge label. With the May release of Outer South, his second Merge recording, he's continuing to impress as convincingly under his own name as he has with Bright Eyes. The Los Angeles Times is among the many outlets who have praised his latest direction, commenting: "His melodies curl to drive the stories, while his lyrics illuminate the road with a sometimes dazzling light." The Mystic Valley Band, an increasingly simpatico six-piece group, serves as an excellent musical foil for Oberst's strong songs and brings out the best in him as a singer, too.

This show is standing only. Four ticket limit per customer.
