"Pure and unabashed pop bliss."—Filter

Like Glasgow counterparts Belle & Sebastian, Camera Obscura have an affinity for strong melodies and wistful lyricism. They also have managed to carve out a distinctive identity with their own smart pop sound. Touring in the U.S. in conjunction with their latest 4AD release, My Maudlin Career, the Scottish sextet will surely delight local fans as much as they did the hordes at the South by Southwest festival. There, Austin 360 reported, "they delivered a set of short, catchy, gleeful pop perfection" with "horns blaring, hand claps a-plenty, and stellar key playing."
