"Open-hearted and thrillingly alive...making a big, joyful noise in a small room."—All Music Guide

As she's moved from fronting the band Rilo Kiley to the spotlight of her solo career, singer/songwriter and contemporary "Lady of the Canyon" Jenny Lewis is making an even bigger impression with her insightful lyrics and haunting, seductive voice. Rabbit Fur Coat, her first release under her own name, featured her blue-eyed soul accompanied by the rich harmonies of the Watson Twins. The 2008 follow-up, Acid Tongue, demonstrated an expansive sonic palette with cameos by pals like Zooey Deschanel, M. Ward, and Elvis Costello, and Lewis clearly establishing herself as a major talent on all fronts. This concert is sure to be packed with her Columbus fans, so don't delay in getting your tickets right away.

Screening before the show is Welcome to Van Nuys, a documentary film about the making of Acid Tongue that the songstress has recently unveiled. It features live recordings of tunes from the album, plus behind-the-scenes footage from the band's Sound City studio in--shocker!--Van Nuys, CA. A release date for the film has yet to be announced, but you can preview as a warm-up for the evening. (45 mins.)

Popular twangy Toronto combo The Sadies perform after the film.
