"Weird and wonderful…by turns comic, macabre and sublimely surreal." —Globe and Mail (Canada)

All performances sold out.

Here’s an absolutely delightful show from a Canadian company that makes puppet theater as contemporary and innovative as Improbable Theatre and Julie Taymor do. The Old Trout Puppet Workshop, based in Calgary, creates very clever combinations of insightful allegory, joyful tragedy, and laugh-out-loud hilarity with a purity of spirit that’s more than welcome today. With their hit production Famous Puppet Death Scenes, the Old Trouts promise to cure your fear of the reaper via an amazing panorama of puppet murder, mayhem, and most unfortunate misadventure. Your psyche, even if once traumatized by the specter of death, will scream for more as the Old Trouts bring you to a higher plane of cosmic consciousness where death means nothing to you. In their own slightly twisted way, the Old Trouts offer you a promise of ever-lasting life….through a puppet show. What more could any mere mortal wish?
