Tour Logistics: Scheduling a Tour for Your Group

Architecture and exhibition tours are currently offered, depending on weather and the exhibition schedule.

Tour Scheduling and Reservations

To arrange a tour, call the education info line at (614) 292-6493 at least three weeks in advance of your desired tour date. Please be prepared with the preferred date and time for your visit, possible alternative dates, the type of tour you are requesting, the number of people with your group, and (for school groups) your school's address and phone number. Or submit the School Tour Reservation Request Form or the Group Tour Reservation Request Form available on this web site at least three weeks in advance of your desired tour date.

Tour Group Size

A minimum group size of 8 is recommended. Maximum group size is 60. There must be one adult chaperone for every 10 students (K-12) or young people. Please have students wear stick-on nametags with first name printed in large letters.

Tour Times

Most tours last about an hour.

Guided tours for school groups can be scheduled Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 AM to 3 PM. 10 AM tour times are the most in demand, so call as much in advance as possible if you need that time slot.

Other guided tours can be scheduled for any time the galleries are open.

Self-guided tours can be arranged by teachers who wish to take classes through Wexner Center exhibitions on their own between 11 AM and 3 PM, Tuesday through Friday. Self-guided tours for non-school groups can take place anytime the galleries are open. Self-guided tours must be scheduled in advance by calling (614) 292-6493.

Admission/Fees

Gallery admission is free. There is no additional charge for guided tours.

Parking

Buses and large vans may drop off students or tour groups in front of Mershon Auditorium. Parking instructions for such vehicles will be provided when you make your tour reservation.

Groups with Special Needs

Special services are available for visitors who are physically challenged or who have visual or hearing impairments. The Wexner Center is wheelchair accessible, and we can provide wheelchairs for visitors who need them. Please be prepared to discuss any special arrangements you may need when you request your tour reservation.
