Teen Arts Fusion 2010

Taught by top-notch professional artist/educators from the Columbus area, Teen Arts Fusion workshops are for young people entering grades 9 to 12 in the fall. All kinds of creative teens will enjoy these weeklong (Monday-Friday), half-day workshops. This summer we're emphasizing approaches related to collage in contemporary painting, drawing, mixed media, video game design, digital video, and photography.

Learn about the history and power of public murals, and then get to work on one as a team. This is a fast-paced painting class that may include a high-profile public project on/near High Street.

Mural artist Keturah Bobo will guide the group through designing, making, and installing a mural based on a specific theme as decided by students on the first day of class. Be a passionate team player with abilities to work smart and fast on this exciting project!

Keturah Bobo is a visual artist living and working in Columbus. She has worked on community based mural projects with the King Arts Complex and is a graduate of CCAD.

Registration fees are just $95 per student, per workshop for the general public. Wexner Center members save: members' registration is just $75 per student, per workshop.

Locations and Equipment
All classes will meet on the Ohio State campus. Students will receive confirmation information and directions to the drop-off point for each workshop via e-mail.

In our computer classes students will work on Macintosh laptops. Students are welcome to bring digital cameras from home for photography-related classes, but please remember to include the cord, battery-charging system, and an empty memory chip. If you don’t have a camera—no worries, we will loan you one!

Changes and Cancellations
Dates and times are subject to change. The Wexner Center reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment without incurring obligations. If a class is canceled, you may transfer to another class or request a full tuition refund. If you withdraw from a summer workshop up to seven days before the event, you will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given after that time.
