SEPTEMBER 13:

The Other Paper: A Big, Sloppy Kiss from the Wexner Center
This news piece (no longer available online) quoted Wexner Center Director Sherri Geldin noting a possible link between artist William Wegman and writer James Thurber, one of Columbus's favorite native sons. Both use dogs in ways that are humorous, of course. But both also employ "a kind of deadpan quality" in their portrayals. "They can be sentimental, but they can also be searing."
