"An intriguing slice-of-life that observes the area's staggeringly beautiful and imposing landscapes and the unique challenges experienced by those who work there."—Variety

Emmy-winning documentarian Ann Aghion’s Ice People chronicles four months on the ice with modern day polar explorers in Antarctica. The film brilliantly depicts the dedication of researchers committed to the pursuit of science despite brutally harsh conditions and captures an important recent discovery about climate change. Dr. Adam Lewis, who joins Aghion to introduce the film, is an assistant professor of geology at North Dakota State University and a former Byrd Fellow at Ohio State's Byrd Polar Research Center. Cosponsored by Ohio State’s Byrd Polar Research Center and the University Libraries Polar Archival Program.
