Avid Training—Digital/Nonlinear Editing
The Wexner Center uses Avid-certified instructors and offers training in digital, nonlinear editing on the Avid Media Composer Adrenaline systems. Classes feature teacher-led demonstrations and provide ample time for hands-on practice and experimentation with sample material.

Course Description
This course introduces students to the concepts of nonlinear editing using all basic features of the Avid Media Composer system for Macintosh and Windows. It is also appropriate for Avid Symphony users.

Preparing for editing
Working with bins
Digitizing and organizing source footage
Basic editing techniques with sync and non-sync material
Fine tuning
Trimming with sync material
Creating titles
Configuring tour system
Working in the timeline
Working with audio
Working with HD
Outputting work
Audience/Prerequisites
The course is designed for producers, editors, and assistant editors.
No familiarity with the Avid system is necessary. Completion of a Macintosh or Windows introductory course or equivalent is required. A background in editing, production, or postproduction is strongly recommended.
