Leaving behind a rich and boundary-breaking body of work across disciplines, Toshio Matsumoto’s recent passing was great loss for world cinema and the art world in general. In conjunction with our screening of his masterpiece, Funeral Parade of Roses, we present an evening of Matsumoto’s short experimental works including The Song of Stone (1963), Metastasis (1971), Atman (1975), the newly restored The Weavers of Nishijin (1961), and more.
