Set in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, Spirit of the Beehive follows a little girl who becomes obsessed with the Frankenstein monster after seeing the original Boris Karloff version in her village's town hall. The film was named one of the 20th century's greatest in a worldwide Time Out London poll of directors and critics. (97 mins., 35mm)
