Introduced by the director on Friday only

A lively and evocative informal history of the modern environmental movement, Earth Days reflects on environmental successes and setbacks since the 1950s.

Comments from such key figures as biologist Paul Ehrlich, politician Stewart Udall, and Whole Earth Catalogue founder Stewart Brand combine with eye-opening, and often quite funny archival footage, ranging from reactions to the first Earth Day (suspected of being a Communist plot) to suburban children playing on DDT-laced lawns. The result is an inspiring look at how far we’ve come and how far we still have still to go. (100 mins., 35mm)

On November 19, join Green Columbus for a reception starting at 6 PM and a panel discussion after the film as part of Green Drinks Columbus, a monthly networking event for environmentally minded people.

On Friday, November 20, director Robert Stone introduces the film and answers questions afterward. Stay on for a reception in Mershon Lobby hosted by Gen Wex and Columbus Young Professionals Club as part of CYP Club’s Cultural Series.

Cosponsored by Green Columbus.
