Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this underground music and film extravaganza that happens right outside the Wexner Center!

Avant-glam Cleveland band Cobra Verde kicks off the evening with a set of trademark rock-and-roll abandon. Followed by Songs for Cassavetes (90 mins.), a documentary look at the do-it-yourself world of underground music from the perspective of those who make it happen. Inspired by a quote from late director John Cassavetes, filmmaker Justin Mitchell documented 10 underground bands making music in the wake of the "alternative" media explosion of the early 1990s. Shot in black-and-white 16mm film at locations across the country (from Olympia, Washington, to Washington, D.C.), Songs for Cassavetes includes performances and interviews with Sleater-Kinney, the Make-Up, Unwound, Further, Dub Narcotic Sound System, and more.

This event will be canceled in the event of rain.
