Ohio Shorts 2016 Call for Entries
Fri, Jan 1, 2016

Our annual Ohio Shorts competition showcases the best in Ohio-produced short films—from documentary, animation, or dramatic narrative to anything in-between. The upcoming screening and reception on April 30 will again combine the adult and youth divisions for one powerful reel of the best all-ages video from the Buckeye state.

Now is the time to get your ideas out and your work ready for submission. Videos will be accepted electronically from January 1 through March 1. Winners will be announced April 1 and selected entries in each division will be screened together at the April 30 event. Each person whose video is selected for the showcase will receive two complimentary tickets for the evening, as well as a $50 screening fee.

Both adult and youth division entries will be reviewed by a diverse jury that in the past has included artists, curators, critics, academics, and Wexner Center staff. The jury will give a cash award of $300 to a single work in each division. Each division will also have an audience choice award of $200, to be determined on the evening of the screening.
