Medora, Indiana, was once a thriving small town, surrounded by prosperous farms and home to an auto parts plant and a brick factory. Today, the population has dwindled and drug problems and school consolidation are the new reality. Medora follows the ups-and-downs of the 2011 Medora Hornets high school basketball team, using the Hornets’ struggle as a resonant metaphor for the greater community’s spirit and will to survive. Rothbart is best known as the creator and editor of FOUND Magazine. Cohn’s 2009 short film Dynamic Tom was included in McSweeney’s Wholphin No. 12 DVD of short films. (82 mins., HDCAM)
