An optical extravaganza, the newest work by experimental filmmaker Matt Meindl uses the colors, textures, and patterns of vintage wallpaper to create a deeper meditation on space and time. A past Artist Residency Award recipient formerly based in Columbus, Meindl now lives and works in Los Angeles. (3:23 mins., HD video)

Originally from Columbus, Matt Meindl is a filmmaker and musician who lives and works in Los Angeles. His work has screened at festivals and theaters including Chicago Underground Film Festival; Ann Arbor Film Festival; the Winnipeg Festival of Film and Video Arts; the Super 8mm Film and Digital Video Festival, New Brunswick, NJ; and the James River Festival, Richmond, VA. He was the recipient of a 2011–12 Wexner Artist Residency Award, a 2011 Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council, and a 2011 Media Arts Fellowship from the Greater Columbus Arts Council. He received a BA film/video production at the University of Toledo in 2006.
