Takashi Miike, 2001

wex grid image fill

The Happiness of the Katakuris is a deliriously crazy musical about a country boarding house run by a Japanese horror version of the von Trapp Family. Guests check in, but they don't check out.

This screening marks the Columbus debut of Japanese shock-meister Takashi Miike, who of late has been producing as many as six movies per year. (129 mins.)
