"Enthralling...touching, melancholic and fierce."—Times (U.K.)

Don't miss this chance to see Edward Said's last recorded conversations. Said, groundbreaking literary scholar and music critic, was also the most prominent representative of the Palestinian cause in the U.S. Diagnosed with leukemia in 1991, he struggled over the next decade with the disease. In September 2003, less than a year before his death, renowned literary scholar and music critic Edward Said spent three days with the producers of this film, discussing mortality and his own illness, classical music and his favorite composers, and his views on "Orientalism," among other subjects. His most incisive critiques are reserved for the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and the multiple homelands from which he'd been exiled. (115 minutes).
