Assault on Precinct 13 Sisters

(John Carpenter, 1976)
(Brian De Palma, 1973)

Four men in a car

One of the great cult films of the 1970s (and a loose remake of Howard Hawks’s Rio Bravo), Assault on Precinct 13 is the harrowing tale of a soon-to-be-closed LA police precinct under siege by a coalition of revenge-seeking gangs. (91 mins., 35mm)

In Sisters, Margot Kidder plays twins Danielle (an aspiring actress) and Dominique (her unstable sibling). Journalist Grace Collier (Jennifer Salt) is convinced she’s witnessed a murder in Danielle’s apartment, but when no evidence emerges after a police search, Grace becomes obsessed with proving that one of the sisters committed the crime. (92 mins., 35mm)
