Born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1968, Lisa Brice graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town in 1990. Since her first acclaimed solo exhibition at Galerie Frank Hänel in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1993, she has exhibited widely in Europe, as well as in South Africa, and at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Chile, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Port O'Spain, Trinidad, and at the 2000 Havana Biennial. She currently lives and works in London.
