Hear directly from Kerry James Marshall about the two-year residency project with the Wexner Center that’s resulted in his current exhibition, Every Beat of My Heart.

Marshall discusses the origin of the Rythm Mastr project, its relation to his past work and to urban housing projects in Chicago, his perspectives on contemporary African American identity issues, and the state of education and youth culture in America.
