Gesture at Large: An Interdisciplinary Conference

Feb 25 - Feb 27
Film/Video Theater

In recent years, gesture has been recognized in the arts, humanities, and human sciences as a vital and no longer secondary aspect of how we understand what it means for human thought and emotion to be embodied. This conference, together with an exhibition at the Department of Art Hopkins Gallery, will bring together resident and visiting scholars with a variety of perspectives addressing gesture in relation to practices of inscription, signing, movement in theater, music, dance, and visual images, and other aspects of the arts, architecture, and digital representation. See a schedule and find more information at gestureosu.com.
