Michele Mooney

Director of Patron Services

wexner center for the arts
As director of patron services for the Wexner Center, Michele Mooney oversees operations for all direct points of contact with center patrons, including the ticket office, the usher corps, the Store, and Cam’s on Campus café, and is an integral part of the special events planning team. During her tenure at the center, Mooney has guided the Store through a period of record-breaking revenue and traffic, in part due to the successful launch of the Store as an outlet for select Apple products (hardware and software), as well as successful seasons surrounding the William Wegman and Andy Warhol exhibitions especially.

Before joining the Wexner Center in 2007, Mooney served as marketing director and community liaison with Whole Foods Market, and prior to that as director of marketing for five years for the North Market Development Authority, where she was responsible for communications and advertising, special events, and the volunteer program at the Landmark public market in Columbus. She has also worked for the Greater Columbus Arts Council as the marketing specialist; at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants as director of sales and marketing; and at the New Albany Country Club as events and communications director. Originally from Pittsburgh, Mooney has a B.S. from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and has lived in Columbus 17 years.
