Upcoming Next @ Wex Bands Making Headlines

December 4: Local band and national recording artists Times New Viking is helping us to celebrate the closing of our huge exhibition Andy Warhol: Other Voces, Other Rooms with a Vevelt Underground-themed show on Valentine's Day (details here). All of the indie rock blogs are aflutter, including Pitchfork Media. For advance reading about another upcoming Next @ Wex show (also loosely connected to Warhol and co.), check out this blog bit on Antony and the Johnsons (February 4).


Winter/Spring 2009 Season Announced

November 30: The Dispatch did an extensive preview of highlights from our winter and spring events. Member tickets for most those performances are available now, with public ticket sales beginning January 5. Check out the New York Times piece on one theater highlight, The Builders Association's CONTINOUS CITY, which will be presented here April 16-18.


Zoom: Family Film Festival

November 30: GreenCine Daily (probably the most widely read aggregate blog for serious film coverage) linked to our Zoom podcast. The Dispatch did a very thorough preview of our upcoming film The Golem. The article got some blog hits as well.


Indie Rock Take The Stage

November 27: Great review of the Dean & Britta show in The Other Paper. We got some great pictures of the show, too.
No Age proved to be quite photogenic as well.


Warhol in the Store

November 20: The Wexner Center Store got some recognition for the selection of afforable Warhol-themed merchandise in Alive!'s holiday gift guide to presents for under $20. Ohio Magazine also pointed out the appeal of Warhol gifts and said that "the contemporary-art store never fails to amaze and entice."
